Lourens Potgieter
DOP
(camera operator) learnt his trade as a member of the SA Navy's
Media and Publications section and has been a team member since 1997. He has
also gained vast experience as a freelance production assistant on various TV
commercials and features and has recently filmed a marketing programme for the
Namibian government and an Aids-awareness programme for Metropolitan Life.
Spektrum Video's have been operating in the free-lance market
for the past eight years.
Barbara Potgieter
Org
Potgieter (producer/director) left SABC-TV in 1997 after a career
spanning 18 years, and following on 15 years in journalism.
During this
period he produced a multitude of programmes; varying from documentary,
actuality, magazine and art to music and sport; both single-and multi-camera. In
the field of drama he has produced two successive documentary previews for the
SABC TV Boer War series 'Arende' and it's sequel Arende II.
His
TV-career took him to countries such as Portugal, Japan, England and
Namibia.

Spektrum
contributed regularly to programmes such as Agri-TV (SABC2),
Tourism-Biz (SABC3) and has produced various music video's – the
latest being a 40 minute DVD entitled ''Carike in Kinderland'' (juvenile
songs in video and PC-animated format) for the BMG Record
Company.
Kinderland I attained gold status and a follow-up "Kinderland
II" DVD was released in November 2005.

Spektrum Produksies het saam met Carike Keuzenkamp (van Zyl) en Boet Pretorius
van BMG 'n drietal DVD's die lig laat sien wat kinders van Suid-Afrika se harte
gesteel het en wat Oupa's en Ouma's verwelkom want nou weet hulle wat om vir
verjaardag-en Kersgeskenke te koop.
Die jongste DVD, Kinderland het
reeds meer as fyfduisend eksemplare verkoop sedert Kersfees.
"Sangers
het 'n hupstootjie nodig om hulle CD's te laat verkoop en laat dan 'n video of
DVD maak om uit te saai op TV", verduidelik Org.
Hy werk die afgelope
sewe jaar op sy eie en maak korporatiewe videos, dokumentere programmme en vind
selfs tyd om as oud koerantman te skryf en te redigeer.
Lourens het sy
talente voor die kamera omgeswaai na werk op filmstelle en veral as kameraman.
